Privacy Policy
Last updated September 13, 2026
Project Explorer is built for public transparency about the projects your organization runs — not for collecting or trading personal data. This page explains, in plain language, what information we actually collect, why, and what we do (and don't do) with it.
The short version: we don't sell your information, and we don't share it with anyone beyond the specific service providers named below that help us run the site and send email.
What we collect
We collect information in a few limited ways:
- Contact form. If you fill out our contact form to book a demo or ask a question, we collect your name, email, organization, phone number, best time to call, and your message.
- Project update subscriptions. If you opt in to be notified when a specific public project changes, we collect only the email address you provide. There's no account or password involved — you confirm the subscription via a verification link sent to that email, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
- Site analytics. Like most websites, we use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic — pages viewed, general location and device type, how visitors found the site. This is not tied to your name or contact details unless you separately submit them to us.
- "Near Me" location. If you use the "Near Me" feature to sort projects by distance, your location is used entirely in your own browser to sort and display results on a map. It is never sent to or stored on our servers.
We do not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to browse public project pages, view the map, or read project details.
How we use it
- To respond to demo requests and questions submitted through the contact form.
- To send you the email notifications you specifically opted into when a project you're following changes.
- To understand how the site is used in aggregate, so we can improve it.
- To operate and secure client organizations' project accounts (for logged-in administrators and editors — see below).
We do not use anything you submit for advertising, and we do not build profiles of individual visitors.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with anyone else — with the exception of the small number of service providers who help us operate the site and who are contractually bound to use your information only to provide that service to us:
- Resend — delivers the transactional emails we send (demo request confirmations, project update notifications).
- Google Analytics — provides aggregate site-traffic analytics.
- Google Fonts — serves the web fonts used on this page. Loading a font makes a request to Google's servers, which may log the visiting IP address per Google's own privacy policy.
We do not sell, rent, or otherwise disclose your information to data brokers, advertisers, or any other third party.
Cookies & analytics
This marketing site does not set any cookies of its own. Google Analytics sets its own cookies to distinguish visitors for traffic reporting, per Google's standard practice. If you log in to a Project Explorer client account (as an administrator or editor), the application sets one functional cookie to keep you signed in; this cookie is never set for anonymous public visitors browsing project pages.
You can block cookies and analytics scripts using your browser's privacy settings or a browser extension at any time — the public site will continue to function normally without them.
How long we keep it
- Contact form submissions are kept only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry, then deleted from active systems.
- Project update subscription emails are kept until you unsubscribe or the project closes out.
- Aggregate analytics data is retained by Google per their standard retention settings and isn't something we separately archive.
Your choices
- You can unsubscribe from any project update email using the link included in every notification.
- You can request that we delete information you've submitted to us by contacting us below.
- You can disable location access in your browser at any time; the "Near Me" feature simply won't be able to sort by distance.
Changes to this policy
If we materially change how we collect or use information, we'll update this page and revise the date at the top. We won't quietly narrow your privacy after the fact.
